Unique tropical home within easy bike ride to city centre. This special home has been uniquely furnished to offer international students an amazing place to call home in Australia. The house has been designed to reflect the tropical lifestyle of Cairns, and the owners' passion for wildlife photography and travel. There is a twin room downstairs available to rent with own private access and bathroom/outdoor seating area.

The price for this room is $115 per person per week including electricity and water (internet is not available). The upstairs bedroom is also available for $115 per person per week.

David & Kerstin are a retired couple with a love for nature and the outdoors. In their previous lives they were professional photographers and guides, and love hosting international guests in their home. They are very security conscious and offer a clean, quiet haven to relax. David & Kirsten will not only help the students settle in but take them shopping each week, teach them to cook and help them with their language studies. A truly amazing couple and a unique experience. Definitely try their Chocolate Brownies - to die for!

They are looking for female students or families who are keen to learn more about the Australian way of life. David & Kirsten have huge hearts and go above and beyond the norm to ensure guests in their home love every minute of their stay, and they even have a book full of fantastic comments from previous guests

The twin room downstairs has been furnished with two high quality single beds, two handmade desks and two large wardrobes. There is an outdoor sitting area with private TV/DVD player and separate access from the front of the house. Upstairs there is another double bedroom and access is through the main house and the bathroom is shared with David & Kirsten.

2 large rooms available with King Beds in a beautiful home setup on a hilll with fantastic mountain views. Perfect for female JCU student or couple who are looking for a private, quiet home where they can live independently and only 1 km from the university and easy access to the city (bus stop at front of house).

Only $140 single/week or $180/double/week includes electricity, water, reasonable use of air conditioning. Internet is available for an extra $5/week.

Cheryl has been living in the property for over 20 years and loves her home. She spends a lot of time gardening and DIYing around the house and is looking for a clean, private couple or female guest to rent out her rooms. Cheryl leads a very busy life and is looking for housemates who are reasonably quiet, independent and friendly. No party animals welcome in this tranquil spot please!

The rooms are spacious and feature dressing table and mirror, desk area, TV, clothes rack and double screened doors that open up to enjoy the view over the hills (with separate entrance outside so you can come and go as you like). This is a long house with 2 rooms to rent at one end of the property with share bathroom, indoor dining area and outdoor dining area) and a kitchen in the middle with lovely outdoor deck. The owner lives at the end of the house with her own private lounge and bathroom facilities. Smoking outside only and noise is to be kept to a minimum after 10.30 pm. The bus stop is at the front door so very easy access to the city or university or shops.

This granny flat is perfect for students or families or even just couples! It is a 3 bedroom apartment at the rear of a large, fenced property. An easy 5 minute walk to the Raintrees Shopping Centre and the bus stop is right at the front of the house.

The property features huge gardens, a childrens playhouse, 2 friendly dogs and a lovely pool. The apartment features an open air kitchen with huge covered outdoor sitting area and separate bathroom for the flat. The price structure is as follows:

1 x twin room (2 king singles in room) - $80 pp (2 people) or $130 single use.

1 x twin room (2 king singles in room) - $80 pp (2 people) or $130 single use.

1 large room with Queen Bed and an additional single bed - $80 pp (2 people) or single use $160 and an extra $80 pp for the second bed.

Option to have exclusive use of the whole granny flat: $300/week for up to 3 adults and an extra $80 pp for each adult (children prices available).

The owners live at the front of the property and are looking for tenants who are clean, friendly and happy to look after the unit as if it was their own home. They would be happy to accommodate guests who have friendly, well behaved pets as the granny flat does have a separate fenced area for a dog.

Rent includes: Electricity, water, internet access. Air conditioning is charged at an additional $10 pp/week based on reasonable use. Only available by request April - October as usually not required.
